This Month's CHART
In the December 1999/January 2000 issue of CHART Magazine:

As 1999 draws to a close, the combined December/January issue of CHART features Canada's Music Magazine's picks for this years best of the best. What started our engines, what inflated our balloons, what salted our fries in the final year of the 20th century? Flashing Lights, Matthew Good Band, Rascalz, Sloan and Tricky Woo are all featured, in respect for the incredible year each have had and the contributions they have made to Canada's ever changing music scene. But, there can be only one Artist of the Year, and for 1999, CHART has chosen Toronto hip-hop goofballs Len.

Flashing Lights Interview
The following was posted by Susan on Sloannet on November 29, sorry I didn't get this to you earlier but maybe you will still be able to listen to it.

Hey all,
I just had the honour of meeting and interviewing the Flashing Lights yesterday. I just thought that if anyone wanted to hear the interview (lots of fun....great guys!!) you can at http://www.mta.ca/students/chma on this Thursday afternoon (December 2) around 2pm Atlantic...just follow the live link. And they put on a fabulous show with the Local Rabbits in Moncton last night. There was only a small crowd, but as Matt Murphy put it, they were obviously "real music lovers". They played 9 or so tracks from the album, a cover, as well as "it's alright", then did a finale type thing with the LR's.

Ciao,
Sue
