Toronto, ON March 4-7
The early Beatles couldn't take enough speed to play at the pace of Flashing Lights. The two drummers kept ex-Superfriendz Matt Murphy on vocals and '70s styled guitars in check with their thundering playing. Even bass problems didn't slow down their final jam as the band continued while sound people fiddled away on stage. After the sound people gave up, Sloan bass player Chris Murphy leapt up on stage in fan boy excitement to try to keep the amazing performance rocking ass. The bass never came back, but the band still left as conquering heroes.
